Society and Intercultural Dialogue

As in many foremost rural areas of the MENA regions cultural traditions are under quest for their relevance in face of technical progress. Though they might bear, as the UNESCO argues, some valuable wisdom and techniques for sustainable development cooperations, they are threatened by the lack of perspective, particularly for the young, and by the thereby resulting „rural exodus“. The overall project therefore aims to establish an inter-cultural dialogue on possibilities of „SDG“-cooperations and of transferring traditional knowledge into modernity. To achieve this objective an innovative approach is pursued which combines cultural and technical practice and expertise with special focus on questions of cultural identity and gender relations.
